New Decade, New Endeavours at the 5th GC Meet
With India Inc. at the cusp of a new decade of epic digital revolution, the CII-Tata Communications Centre for Digital Transformation renewed its commitment to help all organisations leverage digital to the maximum. The Fifth Governing Council Meeting of the CII-Tata Communications CDT was held in Delhi on 17th December 2019 at Hotel Hyatt Regency. Mr. Vijay Thadani, Vice Chairman and MD of NIIT Ltd, presided over the meeting with co-chairman Mr. Rudramuni B, VP at Dell. A total of 20 business leaders from organisations like Kotak Mahindra Bank, Hero Moto Corp, Skills Alpha, Apollo Hospital, UNO Media Group and Collabera participated. The key focus areas of the centre, enabling digital transformation journeys of MSMEs and next steps were discussed.
Vijay and the co-chairs welcomed the members at the CDT flagship event - The Digital Transformation Summit and Awards. Mr VIjay welcomed and complimented Mr Venkatadri for leading the initiative for the assessment model, DXcel – The DX Excellence Model for Industry. Mr Rudramuni also appreciated the efforts of Mr Venkatadri and lauded him as the architect of this model.
Col. Suhail Zaidi, Head, CII-CDT, gave a brief update about the initiatives and actions taken by CDT since the last GC Meeting. The initiatives and actions were mainly listed under four pillars i.e. Digital Transformation Services, Cybersecurity Services, Skill Building Development and Outreach Programs. The meeting witnessed members sharing their opinions and points on the initiatives and activities of the centre. There was lively discussion on the new decade and future endeavors of the centre. The meeting concluded with the closing remarks of Mr S Raghupathy, DDG, CII.
