Muni has a rich combined experience of 28+ years in the IT arena. Rudramuni is currently the VP and head of the R&D center, Bengaluru. He leads the global operations of Enterprise Operating System Technologies and Infrastructure Software Solutions. His teams work out of Bengaluru and Austin, USA. He maneuvers engineering partnership between Dell EMC and other technology pioneers—Microsoft, VMware, and Redhat. He leads teams in the area of virtualization, OS subsystems and their evolutionary fitment to emerging applications, could computing, and HCI solutions. Muni defines and implements strategic goals and objectives for Dell EMC, R&D, Bengaluru, while being a key role in driving innovation across the BUs in India. Muni currently drives the Talent and Branding initiatives across legacy- Dell and EMC. He also manages the operational activities of the Bengaluru unit.
Muni is the co-chair of the Center for Digital Transformation (CDT)—an effort by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII)—where he represents Dell EMC, while the other sponsor is Tata Communications. The goal of CDT is to drive digital transformation in India. Muni was the principal architect in establishing the Engineering Center of a startup company in Bengaluru, which was later acquired by Cadence. He was also a board member of the companies that were acquired by legacy Dell. Muni is passionate and strive to bridge the gap between industry and academy. With his never-ending bonding with the academy, Muni is honored as the Distinguished Alumni of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surathkal. Muni derives great satisfaction through social service—both at corporate and personal levels.
