Empowering Digital India CII organized the 5th edition of DX Summit on 28 June in New Delhi, under the aegis of the CII Centre of Digital Transformation (CDT), around the theme ‘Empowering Digital India: Inclusivity, Trust, and MSME Transformation’. The summit, a flagship programme of the CII CDT, hosted several sessions on key issues, which provided insights into inclusive growth through digital literacy, MSME transformation with digital strategies, ensuring Digital digital trust via cybersecurity and leveraging emerging technologies for sustainability. During the summit, the importance of empowering manufacturing with technology to enhance productivity was emphasized. It highlighted the importance of human connection in the digital age and the role of CII in driving Industry adoption of digital technologies. Digital literacy is crucial as it goes beyond just having internet access and can help bridge language and gender divides, the speakers noted. The importance of trust and cybersecurity in the digital era were emphasized, and the discussions focused on cybersecurity frameworks, capacity building and data privacy. It is crucial to address potential biases in AI systems to ensure fairness and equity. Additionally, it was noted that the role of telecom in enhancing network efficiency through AI should be emphasized and leveraged.
